Unifying DevSecOps for a Global Fintech Leader

THE CLIENT

A Global Fintech Leader Operating at Scale

The client is recognized as a global leader in fintech, managing 50+ business-critical platforms and a portfolio of 250+ applications. Their systems support real-time transactions, global customers, and stringent regulatory requirements across multiple regions.

THE CONTEXT

Disparate Practices Constraining Delivery and Governance

The client was running an extensive digital ecosystem across 50+ platforms and 250+ applications. Inconsistent practices across teams had created a set of compounding problems.

  • Fragmented tooling and siloed practices. Teams across regions used different CI/CD tools, inconsistent automation scripts, and divergent processes, creating unpredictable pipeline behavior, onboarding friction, and unsustainable maintenance overhead.
  • Manual build and release processes. With 250+ applications, critical build and deployment tasks required manual intervention and human coordination, introducing delays, inconsistencies, and risk into every release cycle.
  • Lack of centralized governance. Each team operated with its own quality, security, and compliance approaches. Without enterprise-wide standards, there was no way to consistently enforce security practices and compliance checks across applications.
  • Limited visibility across pipelines. Leadership had no unified view of pipeline health, deployment frequency, compliance status, or delivery efficiency. This gap prevented bottleneck identification and made it harder to demonstrate compliance posture to regulators.
  • Unsustainable scaling. As the portfolio grew, each new application introduced more tooling variations and governance overhead, making the problem exponentially worse over time.

WHAT OPUS ENGINEERED

A Unified, Enterprise-Grade DevSecOps Framework

Opus helped the fintech leader build a secure, automated DevSecOps model designed for accelerated delivery, enhanced compliance, and improved operational efficiency.

  • Consulting and implementation on modern development processes. Platforms were classified by technology, complexity, and strategic importance. Shift-left practices were introduced using Definition of Done templates, repeatable playbooks, and a Center of Engineering Excellence model. DORA-based maturity baselining, modern branching strategies, and value stream mapping guided the move away from legacy SVN toward consistent ways of working.
  • Tool and integration enhancements. Source code was migrated to Enterprise Bitbucket and binaries to JFrog Artifactory, creating a centralized, governed artifact store. Jenkins, Harness, and integrated project tools enabled automated pipelines for validation, builds, security scanning, testing, containerization, and deployments across the digital estate.
  • Real-time visibility and centralized insights. Executive-ready dashboards surfaced DORA metrics, CI/CD performance, and operational risk in real time, giving leadership a single view of pipeline health and compliance status to support faster prioritization and cross-team collaboration.

THE SHIFT

Measurable Gains in Speed, Efficiency, and Risk Management

Opus established a unified, scalable DevSecOps foundation that transformed delivery velocity, operational efficiency, and risk management across the organization.

  • 70% improvement in CI lead time. Standardized automation and optimized build processes significantly reduced commit-to-validation cycles.
  • 30% faster DevOps pipeline development. Reusable pipeline templates eliminated custom infrastructure requirements, accelerating pipeline creation across teams.
  • 19% improvement in CD lead time. Reduced validation and promotion cycles enabled faster, more frequent releases.
  • Over 20% cost reduction through tool consolidation. Eliminated redundant tooling and duplicate licensing costs, reducing technical debt across the portfolio.
  • 7% reduction in quality and security incidents. Fewer vulnerabilities and defects reached production environments.
  • Improved audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Strengthened ability to demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements across all platforms.
  • Predictable, measurable delivery performance. Evidence-based insights enabled data-driven planning and continuous optimization.
  • Future-proof scalability. Enabled scaling across 50+ platforms without proportional increases in operational complexity.
